This deer lives at our local nature center. We’ve seen her grow since she was a baby fawn. As far as we know, this is her second set of twins. Her last set was a male and female who are grown now. This set was born on May 24th. She had them on a hillside right next to a loud highway – an unusual place to give birth! But there is a rather secluded area on top of the hill to hide her babies. She is very familiar with the area so we think she knows to stay away from the highway. There is also a beautiful creek and lots of abundant plants for her and her babies to eat. We look forward to watching these twins grow up!
